You should choose the level  for your  group considering the:

  • Reading level: non-readers, very early readers, early readers and accomplished readers.
  • Bible knowledge
  • general educational level
  • spiritual maturity and commitment of your group.

What follows is a flexible guide which will need to be interpreted carefully in your circumstances.

Samples are available to help you choose.

Level 1: No reading is required by the participants.  This is a 3 year curriculum which includes Old and New Testament stories. Material includes a Leader’s guide as well as material for parents/carers. Read more.

Level 2 is for very early and early readers.  This is a modified adult curriculum offering parallel courses for parent/carers and children. The Global lessons, which we recommend for groups which are starting, levels 2A and 2B are available: 2A is for very early readers and 2B for early readers. The Leader’s Guide and the International Leader’s Resource file are available as helps. Read more.

Level 3 is CBS for accomplished readers. This is a modified adult curriculum offering parallel courses for parent/carers and children. A Leader’s Guide and the International Leader’s Resource file are available as helps. Read More.

Level 4. is also CBS for accomplished readers  and comes with a commentary. There are no leader’s manuals/guides ( although the equivalent teachers aids for standard material can be requested).  This is the same material as our Adult global material. This material will be useful with those who have a level of spiritual maturity, a good basic educational level and some bible knowledge. Read More.

Adult with Learning Disability classes use C&Y materials and usually find Level 1 or level 2A are the most appropriate.
